Exhibition and Panel Discussion Highlights Borderland Narratives and Miniature Art at PNCA

Canadian, French Diplomats, Minister Culture Join PNCA Exhibition Opening in Islamabad

Islamabad – 3 September 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), National Art Gallery, has organized two exciting exhibitions titled “Ustad Bashir-ud-din – A Restrained Grace” and “Amin Rehman – Bleeding Borders.”

The exhibitions were inaugurated by Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister of National Heritage and Culture. Special guests included Mr. Daniel Arsenault, Political, Economic and Cultural Counsellor at the Canadian High Commission; Jean-Charles Allard, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of France; Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary NH&CD; and M. Ayoub Jamali, Director General PNCA.


A panel discussion was also held featuring Amin Rehman, Arif Hasan Akhundzada, and Salman Asif, moderated by Aasim Akhtar.

The exhibitions present 40 drawings by Ustad Bashir-ud-Din, a master miniature painter, and 40 mixed-media works by Amin Rehman, exploring the lives of communities along Pakistan’s borderlands.


The exhibitions are on display at Galleries #1 and 2, National Art Gallery, Islamabad, until September 12, 2025. Gallery hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed on Saturdays).
