SCO Secretary-General Meets Chinese Delegation on Strengthening Literary and Cultural Cooperation
Islamabad 26 August 2025 (MT Team) : On August 26, 2025, at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing, Secretary-General Nurlan Ermekbayev received a delegation of the Office of the PRC for Publishing and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages, led by the Head of the Center for Broadcasting for Europe and Asia, Jiang Yongan.
The guests were informed the Secretary-General about the key tasks and priorities of the activities of the Management. Jiang Yonggan particularly noted the high level of cooperation with the SHOS Secretariat, assured him that he is ready to further strengthen the working relationship.
The Secretary-General, in turn, reported on upcoming important events along the Organization, including a meeting of the Council of Heads of State in the city. Tianjing, August 31 – September 1 c. г. He also shared plans for preparation of events dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the SHOS in 2026.
At the end of the conversation, a series of books about China, published in the languages of the SOS member states were handed over to the Secretariat library. The most valuable gift was the recently released fifth volume of the monograph “Xi Jinping on Public Governance”.
