SAARC Chief Calls for Unity in Tackling Climate Challenges at Bangkok Dialogue
Islamabad – 29 July 2025 (MT Team) : In his keynote statement at the South Asia Regional Dialogue on Climate Adaptation and Resilience in Bangkok, SAARC Secretary-General Ambassador Golam Sarwar called on the member states of SAARC and ADPC to leverage the real, transboundary and existential challenges from climate change and disasters through partnership and collaboration to reduce disaster risks, and to promote resilience and sustainable future for South Asia. The Secretary-General also urged the Developed Countries to deliver their promises for Climate Fund and Green Development.
The SAARC Secretariat and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) are co-hosting the Regional Dialogue in Bangkok from 29-31 July 2025.
